Well its a week later and I have updated pics of my 2 BLRW's and Im still not sure if one is a roo. Little background, chick 1 was so slow to grow and we thought it wouldnt make it. Seemed to be suffering from failure to thrive...or so we thought. Now its almost caught up to its sibling. Also one is darker in color and one is lighter in color. They hatched September 14th. Sorry about the gazillion pics Im just trying to make sure I have enough to make a good guess

I have BLRW too...I have noticed that even as chicks, their combs are quite red...My Jasmine and Candi both had red combs as chicks. They looked like this:

Today, they look like this:

Where did your birds come from? Maybe BLRW genetics cause early comb color?

What a pair of cuties! I agree that it's a bit early to tell for certain. I see at least one potential roo however. He's the one on the right in the first two pictures. You still have hope for a hen with the one on the left because her tail is growing faster, and her comb is growing slower.

I'll send good pullet vibes your way!

I have no idea what gender but I gotta say that I loved that you let your chickens walk around on the bed:)

That was my guess, too. The one on the right in the photo has a wide comb, seems bigger comb, so I would guess roo. But, I'd wait until they were bigger.
