I just always mention that when someone asks about chickens picking on each other.
Thank you and I'm so glad you're getting eggs too! We're so lucky with the price ofHi,
Overcrowding is usually the first cause for picking. Chickens need about 4 square feet each in a coop. If you have a hen that's being a bully, we've separated a hen on occasion for a few days, put her back, and it stopped.
We're still getting chicken eggs, and it's been sub-zero here, just only about 1/4 of the eggs we'd usually get. That's amazing for you though!!
I did put a big plastic tote with the front cut out on the coop so she can lay her eggs with privacy.. I think that's helping some too. My deer runner has been laying and just yesterday finding the black Cayuga egg that could be the issue as well. The duck saga continues lolHeavens no!

Awe, thank you! They're very kick back, relaxed in persality. They were bread in the USA as an American duck noted for their weight and meat. They're a heavier duck and on the national endangered list with only I think 1,100 readers in the USA. Originally from New York! I love they're made in the U.S.AHow beautiful! Thank you!
