Hrm...from what I've heard, purebred dorkings can take a while to get to egg-laying age. It's possible that by the time she reached the right age, it was winter and her system turned off.

I would wait another couple of months until it is undeniably spring. If she's still not laying, that's the point at which it would be worrisome.

I've had a lot of chickens and NONE of them have never layed. Is that a double negative? Anyway, egg laying is the equivalent of puberty for a human child. It pretty much always happens.

We may be used to the egg laying breeds starting at 5 months but it's really not unusual for a pullet to take a lot longer to lay an eggs.

If for some reason you're still reading this I've raised:
Orpingtons
Brahmas,
Rocks (of various colors)
Sumatras
Yokohamas
Golden Comets
EEs
Production reds
Rhode Is. Reds
Cochins
Lakenvelders
Sussex
Delawares
Phoenix
Wyandottes
Giants
Jaerhons
Orloffs
and
Anconas

None have ever failed to lay a single egg. Give her time she will lay. :)

Add more protein to her diet? More light?

Mine are just babies themselves and won't be laying until late may (at the earliest).
