thanks for all the help! my daughter is dying to know what kind she has. she just loves her babies..

Top two are roos, the rest are pullets. Sorry, don't know the breeds. They look mixed.

thats what i thought...hmmm now what? i guess we will have to make up our minds on who we want to keep. i thought they looked mixed too...how fun! anyone live in arkansas? around batesville and need some roos, they are very nice and quiet so far. no crowing yet, guessing on the age to be about 4 mnths??? thanks for input please keep them coming..love to learn all i can about our flock.

1 and 2 are cockerels
3 and 4 are pullets

they look to be mixes and if you are able and have the room to keep a cockerel i would choose the 1st one (the barred creole looking one). your guess on age i say is about right around 4-5 months old and they should start crowing here soon probably

i probably would be right there with you hhowden...but i was told i have a black sexlink rooster too. plus our littlest ones are a few weeks behind the big ones and i think i might have a rooster out of them too. i have 6 golden polish and 4 ee hens. i am going to try to get some good pics of them so i can see if anyone can tell me the sex of the golden polishes..this is my first time with chickens, so far am loving the experience. i would like to get some other special breeds..but might wait till next year. i would like to be able to get only hens of those tho...more research is in the future!
