So after some people posted about bumble foot I picked up Lexi again and really searched her for any sign of it. I don't see anything. The only thing I noticed on the affected foot is that she was curling it while I was examining it, but the other foot stayed relaxed. Otherwise, no difference at all between the 2 feet and nothing that looked like an infection, calous or wart.
So any other ideas? Should I treat her for bumble foot anyway? Where in the world do you even get antibiotics for a chicken? At the feed store.
Or should I just give it a few days? If she is injured I probably just made it worse, since she got fed up and flew out of my arms and landed on her foot. I'm thinking I should quit messing with her.
