Many who garden / farm know that there is a new Stink bug , that has come from China on boats to the US and had been exploding in population as it moved its way down south from PA they was first found in PA in 1996.
The brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) was first reported in North Carolina in 2009. Since then, we’ve seen a steady increase in their population. myself last year these bugs was responsible for a almost total lose of tomatoes and sweet corn . sevens dust , soap and water , soap water and vinegar had NO affect in stopping or even slowing down these bugs .

Has anyone else had a run in with these bugs , and has anyone has any success in killing them off ? or at least keeping them away from your plants ????

Please lets hear what you have tried , what has worked and what has not

More info on the link and its control. Good that you identified the bug. I had to search invasive species database to find it. And yes it is brown marmorated stink bug.

Another big threat is for those who have backyard Citrus trees. Read up on Asian citrus Psyllid. Its tiny, but it carries a bacterial disease that will kill a citrus tree in matter of few years. There is an outbreak in Imperial County, San Diego county and moving up into Orange County San Bernadino and LA county. It is expected to go into Santa Barbara area if it hasn't already. I believe Florida is already seeing the impact on their citrus industry as well.
