Awww looks great!!! Such a handsome roo!!My pullets' and cockerel's first big snow! So happy to finally have a nice covered outdoor area for my birds this winter. So far it looks like I built it strong enough!

I guess I should give an update here.
I have learned the hard way that Muscovy are not peaceful creatures. I dealt with their constant fighting for over a year hoping that one day they'd figure it out themselves. But after multiple fights ending in injured ducks with bloodied faces, torn caruncles, and missing feathers, I made the difficult decision to put one of them down. It was the last resort after trying so many different things to stop them from hurting each other.
Now I still have three and they still don't get along, but the worst culprit is gone. I couldn't bring myself to cull the others. All of them are pets.
On the bright side, I got permission to convert a shed that was my old chicken coop back into a chicken coop. So I will have a lot more space for my cranky ducks and more chickens! I think I will call it "The Recoop."![]()
