It has been a wet year. The yard has turned to mud and the odor is... well... not good. Any ideas to relieve the senses?

Deep litter system in your run.

How large is the area and how many birds are housed in it? Depending on that, deep litter is a great solution to wet smelly areas

You also can use sand or gravel to raise the floor of the run up for better drainage.

The yard is 16 feet by 30 feet with 25 birds. What is a litter run?

If you have access to wood chips, preferably free, cover the mud until you have no mud. then add at least 6 inches.

As the level decreases, add more...
