Stinky shipped eggs

Oh gosh I ordered eggs and Im supposed to receive them next week. If I waited this long for them to be rotten after a few days Im not going to be happy.....

Last month I ordered two sets of eggs off eBay - from two different breeders. One set hatched more than I ordered (because I ordered 4 - they sent 7 - and 5 hatched), and the other set contained nothing but duds from the beginning. It's a gamble - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

"Smell" does not have to be a bad egg. You have to candle to make sure.

If the hens were in some sort of wet bedding or mud and the eggs have not been washed (and they should not be washed before shipping) then whatever is on the outside of the egg might be stinky. It's not impossible. You have to candle before you toss the eggs.
