stock from Breeders

Try a local poultry club-they have lists of breeders and what breed they have-

That price is too high-

I could get a good "show stock possibility" for $20/bird and that is high for me---if I wanted to win some big ribbons at shows then I would pay up to $50/bird.

Thats in the Great Lakes Area

oh I just realized you are looking for partridge wyandotte bantams-we have an abbundance of these chooks in our area (Wisconsin) I am not sure if people ship or not. There is a wyandotte bantam club link on Feathersite when you are looking at the dotte picks and they have a ton of breeders listed on there too.

Good Luck

Oh sure, make me feel bad. Have an abundance of them there. I'm told there are some in NE IN and NW Ohio but finding them is tough.

Clicked on link, dead link.

hen means she is laying- someone else took the rish and the work getting her to the hen stage - 120.00 for a trio seems fair

but did ya try Meyer --

that is the price you will pay for good show birds or breeders so no it is not too high if they are from a quality breeder that has many champions and are master exhibitors it takes years and years for them to get the quality they have so yes they get rewarded for there years of hard work and yes you can tell the differance from a hatchery bird to a quality breeder from health to size to the apa shape and colors

For serious breeders, that is probably reasonable but for most of us that just have them because we do, it's more than it is worth. I understand you don't want to spend time/energy to develope your own line and then give it away. I guess that is why hatcheries exist to supply the hobby side. Only MM has them and I don't want 25 more chickens or problems of selling the rest.

I'll keep looking until I find some locally.....the hunt is sometimes the most fun you have.

You could always order from a hatchery and donate the extras that you don't want to your local 4H. Some child would be happy to adopt them, I am sure.
