No, even though I realize that feed costs will likely skyrocket over the next few years. There's just too much competition for the grain stocks.
Bottom line is that I want my feed fresh, fresh ground. Thus, whatever the price is when I buy (once a month or so) that's what I will pay. The egg customers will be seeing a price increase, if feed goes up 25%. If the sales don't/won't support a price increase, I'll reduce the laying flock, although, I suspect that won't be the case. I suspect the brown egg, free range price will also rise at the supermarkets and our customers should be granted some credit for realizing this.
