There just is certain amount of natural variation in how geldings act

It's been20 years since I've shown a horse, and even then it was a schooling show or the country fair. What is with the colored halter classes? Literally, you show in a multi -colored halter and a plain one? This is new to me!

The stockings were so high on him that he counted in the multi-colored class. When we asked the clerk if we could show in the solid color class, she said there's wasn't a reason not to.

SO...we showed in that one, mainly for experience points.



Thank you all! I was absolutely flabbergasted at the western pleasure stuff! By the Equitation...he was done. Just done. He could hardly move. Poor guy...I felt bad doing that to him, but at the same time...he was the one that wouldn't sit still for two seconds being tied...

After the riding classes, all he wanted to do was stand there.
