Thanks! His butt is something to look at ain't it? lol

He's actually 1/2 Paint, 1/4 QH and 1/4 Appaloosa. He takes after his sire ALOT.

Edit: Thank you all!!! I kept saying to myself "He's smiling in these pictures!!!"

Max is now barefooted!!!

Huge milestone...I was afraid he'd be wearing shoes into the winter! Now he's just feeling the ground for the first time in a long time...ouch.

Farrier said he has a mild case of flat feet, which I can definitely see. If it winds up he can't deal with being barefooted (although he has been barefooted since he was born) I'll put shoes back on him.

Here's a guide that might help you out. I've followed this somewhat for the past 3 years on my 2. My horses had flat feet. I followed this for 3 years, and for this time they developed nice concave feet, within 8-10 weeks. Now I'm at a barn with a farrier, and they have flat feet again. Grrr!

Thanks for the link seminole!

I didn't really find anything to help with the flat feet other than regular trimmings? Did I miss it somewhere on the link?

He's really ouchy today...going downhill was an awful thing for him. I felt really bad and he obviously was ticked off at me today. Poor guy...
