glad you put this up again, because, Ranchie, as I read your initial post, I couldn't help but think, these new pics probably aren't their own chickens either. it's still easier to post someone else's pics. just a new *someone else*. buyer beware.

I had the same thought...and I asked them if those are really their birds.

Even more, Will he/she be sending you what you bought?
Just a thought to think about, for the potentional buyer

I didn't buy anything from them.....they were using a photo of my birds to sell their eggs.

Katy...Speckledhen and I just had a conversation over this issue...she keeps expecting to see Suede's pic on EBay one day...

I posted his pic on my facebook as my Roo's daddy and stated clearly that he was owned by her but was Thor's daddy.

I cannot understand why people would use someone's pictures without asking...most people here would allow it if you asked them and credited them for the picture...so it makes no sense.

Glad you got it removed.

Especially when their tryin to sell sumthin. IF this was for a HS school class to show an example of a Wyandotte, that would be totally different. But, this is fraud!

Ive done this before not meaning to. I ordered SLW chicks from the store and they turned out to be buttercups. So I posted them on here for sale. everyone was asking me what they looked like as adults and I have no idea so I GOOGLED them, and found a pic , it wasnt water marked. I posted in along with my ad. Well a little later I got a nasty PM from the man saying it was his and I was stealing. I told him how sorry I was and couldnt say it enough. I also removed the picture. I wasnt trying to claim it as mine nor did I think it was an award winning picture. So maybe it was an Honest mistake, iI never though as myself as a low life for doing so.

No, I don't consider it an honest mistake. They had been using it for over a month to sell their eggs. Whether a picture is watermarked or not, a person doesn't have any right to use another person's picture.
