Stomping Hen

One of my RIR hens has been acting funny lately... whenever someone goes to pick her up, she squats and stomps her feet very quickly. Is this a "warning" she is sending us, or are there other reasons?? She has always been very easy to handle and doesn't fight you when you're holding her... any suggestions??!

When I think chicken squatting....I think Eggs are coming soon!!!

Mine all did that right before they started laying eggs. They still squat now, but they don't stomp any more for some reason.

Yay!!!! I would be thrilled if she started laying eggs soon!!! She is 21 1/2 weeks old, and I've been praying for eggs

She will be the first of 4 sisters to start laying, so I hope you're right.
