I have 2 bators full and have two more sets of eggs coming.

I live in the tundra.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!Please assist me in stopping this addiction.

I think the BST forums need to be locked to keep addicts like me out.

My indoor brooder will not be big enough. I have to figure out how to house all these babies through the winter.

The flip side is I will have lots of nice eggies available in the spring.

Is anyone else a sicko like me?

Can't help you. I am hoping to get brabanter eggs in the spring and I see you have some so the more chicks you hatch the better, lol. This isn't an addiction it's a job and I take mine very seriously.

I am getting ready to jump back into chickens, but when I read posts like this, it scares me. I live in town Lewiston, and I know the addiction can get out of control..........I would also say that you won't get help to stop here, everyone here will encourage you to go all the way.

I had to STOP going to the aucitons. STOP putting eggs in the incubator. STOP taking birds from friends that "just did not have the room for them". STOP letting the bantams go broody over any egg they could get their little butts over. STOP buying eggs on the internet and finally i am looking into starting a chicken anonymous meeting. Hi, I am rimshoes; i have way too many chickens. I was told I had a illness when i got to 60 birds. Well, somehow I just "lost" count. Now they tell me I am in denial.

I can't help either. I am currently building a new coop to house the overload of chickens I have already, and I have eggs coming next week for the bator. *sigh* What are ya gonna do?

no, no. we won't we will only make it worse....now stare into the screen and count backwards from ten....9, 8...buy eggs....7, 6 batches of chicks, 5 golden campines, 4 calling ducks, 3 french hens, 2 more calling ducks and a partridge chantecelor.....

DH told me I was done hatching.
I agreed I was done hatching for the year.
Now I'm counting down until 1/1/9 when I can fire up the bator again.

I'm sorry Solsken, I cannot help you break your addiction. But I could let my DH call and lecture you instead of me from now on, if that would help

Really. It's a sacrifice I'd be willing to make for a fellow chicken addict
