Well my goodness... its up to 4"+ here outside of Raleigh now.... and my chickens REFUSE to come out of the coop... I've tried scratch and some left over apple bits. In fact, I tried putting them in the run myself and they started kicking and fighting.

My own kid went out for 10 minutes and cried to come back inside. Hubby went to go get her new gloves as her's we so small they were falling off and her fingers were pink right away. Hopefully, if we can keep her hands warmer she'll stay out and play a bit. I can't wait to break out the sled!!!!

We probably have about 4+ inches here in western Johnston county too. My chicken chickens won't come out of their tiny little coop either.

These were taken earlier today, it's quite a bit thicker out there now... and still coming down!

Vfem..your place is GORGEOUS!!! Fuquay is very pretty anyway, I like to go that way when we go to Raleigh but normally interstate is faster. Pretty little historic town though and your wooded view is awesome! Still snowing here!!! I hoping for a foot at least

I have 3 inches just south of Sanford, my poor silkie has snow clumped on her feet. For the most part they are staying inside their houses. Even my ducks are staying in there dog house.
