so Saturday will be day 14 for our quail eggs, stupidly we’ve timed it so we need to turn the egg Turner off and raise the humidity when we are away
We go Friday around midday & wont be back until Monday (day 16)
Would it be ok to turn off the turner and raise the humidity just before we go? My mum will be coming in to feed all the animals but think she may forget or do it wrong if I tell her what to do with the incubator :barnie

Agreed, it should be fine.

In chickens who go until day 21 and stop turning at day 18... it is OK to stop turning at day 15 with no ill effects. So I THINK 1 day for quail probably won't cause great detriment assuming everything else has been on track thus far.

I also would not put that on mum... that way, no guilt for her if something should go awry. :)

Happy hatching! :jumpy:jumpy

Thank you. They are a very uncertain hatch due to a power cut on day 4 where they were without heat for a good few hours. Did try torch testing and although I can see something I’m not actually sure what it is. If they don’t hatch it’s not a major loss as we have x25 1-week old quail chicks anyway so if any do hatch will just be a bonus
