stopped hatching

    i have an egg that started to hatch and then it seemed to dry in the area he was cracking and then there was no more movement, what would cause this to happen??

    How long has it been like that? It can take 24+ hours after they pip before they start zipping and hatch. Hatching is hard work for them and they'll stop and rest along the way while their yolk finishes absorbing and they get used to breathing. If the incubator was opened the humidity could have been lost.
