stopped laying eggs

My chickens aren't laying eggs. This has gone on for about a week and a half. They are about 18 months old now and there are a lot of loose feathers in the coop. Are they molting, so they're not laying eggs? If so when might they start laying again?

sounds like molting, yes most almost all will stop laying during molting and you won't see eggs again until next spring when days start to get longer again...

Yes, molt is the culprit. As noted above, without artificial lighting, production may not resume in force until spring
