My RIR is about 32 weeks. She started laying about 6 weeks ago. She laid 2 weeks, took a day off, then laid 2 weeks again. Then I found an egg with no shell and I found a dried up soft shell. And that has been it for 3 days. I checked her vent and all looks well. (New at this so I thought to check and see if she was egg bound.) She's acting normal. She's not broody 'cause she's hanging out in the run with my other 2 girls. I live in the Florida Keys so it can't be the weather or short days. Just concerned because she has been so consistent laying and now this. Is it normal? Thank you for any replies.
