stopped laying

up till last week our hen has laid every other day. However last Tuesday she laid her last egg. It has been very hot and I was wondering if this could have affected her. She is twenty six weeks old and still eating and drinking constantly. She is also very alert.She has also started to go to bed half an hour earlier

could be the heat, it sounds like she is fine, I would give her some time and maybe she will start back

mine have cut back some to because of heat

Its the weather and the "clock" our hens og on strike about once a year for 2-3 weeks, an occasional egg here and there. But once the egg clock starts to tick again they resume laying even go broody. Patience!

Her comb is now pale and she went to bed two hours early! She has decided to sit in nesting box now, before she roosted on a perch. She is still searching for grit and loved the worm she found this morning.
