Stopping a Rooster From Crowing All Day

My two roosters are 22wks and one crows all day long! One doesnt crow so well yet and it sounds more like a bull frog. The one EE rooster has barely started crowing but he sure is trying.

The neighbor tells me that eventually he wont crow all day long. . I usually don't mind it until he gets on the deck and goes on and on and on

I don't know if it works or not but a friend in Mexico has roosters where he not supposed to. Fertilized eggs sell for more than sterile ones do. He takes an elastic band and places it around the neck just tight enough to stay in contact with the neck skin. To loose is the same as no elastic at all. To tight and you can eat him for dinner. He experiments with different size elastics to get one just right. Sometimes doubling one up is just right. He says they try to crow for a few days after putting the elastic on then give up but continue to mate with as much ---- zest.

My rooster had to go to a new home. He was too vociferous for our quiet neighborhood. The neighbors said they didn't mind, but I did. We couldn't garden without him getting going. Also, he was a little to aggressive to everyone but me. He attacked the dog, my partner, his daughter, and was not very nice to the hens. Before he left, I was able to harvest some fertalized eggs, though. I have 10 beautiful chicks, all are a cross between the Lavender Ameraucana Roo, and black australorp hens. I don't think I will be keeping any more roosters.

Any way to stop my 1 stupid rooster from crowing all stinkin' day?  I don't want to shoot it just yet!

My rooster starts crowing at 4:15 am and does not stop until 7:30 pm. It's constant. Usually, by the end of the day, his voice is hoarse and it barely sounds like a crow anymore... I've tried the sock thing and all it did was agitate him. I guess my advice would be to buy yourself and your neighbors some good earplugs and give them free eggs for putting up with his mouth!! That's what I do!

We ordered 6 hens, but got a roo. I don't mind the crowing, but my husband is worried about the neighbours.
(I am not th3 original poster, b7t have a similar problem)
If you can't stand crowing, why do you have a rooster?
