Once they stop laying, it can take around 2 weeks to start laying again. So, she shouldn’t have to stay in darkness for too long. Make sure that she is getting a calcium supplement in having some crushed oyster shell available, and layer feed as her usual feed. Calcium deficiency can be one of the causes for prolapse. Good luck.
