Store bought eggs to hatch?

Ah crud sorry it was a bust go to Trader joe's
they have fertile eggs

It's OK. Not sure if the nearest (3.5 hours away) trader Joe's has them.

That's OKbut thanks though. I currently have 16 chicks that I hatched and some are Marans. Plus 6 more in the incubator.

I have like 4 marans pullets and of course Smudge my rooster is Blue marans.

Me! I’ve done it! I bought fertile chicken eggs from Trader Joe’s. I was able to fit 7 eggs in my little incubator and 4 hatched. 2 hens and 2 roosters. They were Leghorns.

Do you know how long they were refrigerated ?

Nope. Just try to pick the freshest carton and hope for the best.

Hi yall! I just did this experiment with Happy Eggs from Sprouts under a broody hen. Today is hatch day. One hatched but sadly died several hours later. When I found it this morning it was very lethargic. 4 more eggs under her, waiting to see if anyone else hatches. The chick that hatched came from a dark chocolate brown egg and had feathered feet!

There is a Facebook group called "Hatching store bought eggs" that has all the tips and tricks. Haven't read through this entire thread but you want to check the julian date and be sure its within about 15 days. Also people have had more luck with Happy Eggs from plant number 1267.

That's cool that there is a FB group. When I did this experiment it was specifically big box store eggs. I know I can get local eggs and even get guaranteed fertile.. but that wasn't the experiment. If I feel up to it next year I'll give it a whirl again.
