I did some reading on this and for eggs to be sold as "Fertile Eggs" at a store they must prove about 85% fertile as said by the USDA. Free Range will most likly not have a roo with them as really most folks do not like thinking about eating fertile eggs. I have heard Safeways sells them, and I would belive that larger heath food stores do carry them.
At this time it looks like I have 6 that will make it. The others have not piped yet. I am going to give them another couple days, but as these pipped and zipped so fast I do not have much hope. At $10 for the 4 doz eggs and 6 chicks that made it, it looks like I payed about a $1.75 a chick.
