I,m thinking about hatching out some of my Old English Game hen,s eggs. But like to have something to store them in till i have about 10 of them to put in the incubator. Can any one tell me what i should keep them in till i have the amount i want to try and hatch.

I've just kept them on my kitchen counter, and turned them a little once or twice a day -- but I'm far from an expert hatcher.

I have been checking into it and i might try a cheap Styrofoam cooler with some ice in it. I have read they need to be kept at 50-60 degrees. And the eggs should be turned (tilted) once a day while in storage.

I didn't know they needed to be turned while holding... I started collecting them a week before setting and kept them in egg cartons at 50*. How will not turning them affect them?
