Chapter 11
The Clock ticked


Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes turned into hours, but Fluffys body still lay cold and lifeless on the ground. “It was just a dream!” I whispered to myself as small wet droplets came flowing down my cheeks. I wept over the loss of my friend, but then, something amazing happened! Once three of my tears fell onto Fluffys body, the whole cage turned bright! It was as if someone was pointing a huge flashlight at our cage! I could not see a thing, but then the light left the cage. And there she was! “FLUFFY!” I screamed in excitement. “You’re alive!”. She stood big and tall, her feathers were beautiful! “it wasn’t a dream after all!” I said to myself. The other chicks didn’t do anything, it was as if they still thought Fluffy was dead! Then fluffy turned to me and said “you did this to me! Didn’t you?” in a furious voice. “Did what, Fluffy?” I said, scared. “You where the one that made me bleed, gave me scares, made me cry!” she replied. “bu-but no! You got it all wrong! I saved your life!” “If you’re going to talk about saving lives then talk about Drizella! She saved my life, she laid next to me when I was dying!” Fluffy said. “You just don’t get it, Fluffy!” I said, sad but also happy that Fluffy was alive even thought she thought Drizella saved her life.
