Story Away!

Thank you both! I finally found it late this afternoon. Definitely have to discuss with my doctor about reworking the script & about how his staff didn't relay/get the problem. Sheesh.

On the bright side when I got home tonight 3 of the chickens had went into the 'coop' for the night! When I came out & started to put the rest to bed Ducky went right away, Freddie followed me a bit then hung out on it, & Red also went pretty much on her own. Penguin followed last, but on his own. Progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if Freddie has given up on his 4:15am time to get up crow or if I'm not hearing it. The past few mornings it's been about 5:30am, give or take, that I hear him. The routine is I get up, put some water in a litter box for them then let them out & go back to bed as everyone's really quiet for the next few hours. I free feed & usually fill the food bowls the night prior as well as make sure that there's enough water until I get up officially. I think Freddie has figured out that the one window is my room as he's taken to flying up onto the pallet that's leaning under it to crow & knock on the window. Once he sees/hears me he flies off, job done. This is about 7:30am & is normally around the time I start stirring or at least 1 of the dogs wants out. I'm thinking I have an alarm clock rooster.

I'll try, but my brain isn't quite working in the morning to grab the cell & do it.

I think I figured out why he's pecking my shoes when I go out...I leave them outside the door & slip them on when I go out......I'm guessing there is interesting or possibly yummy junk on them that I need to wash off. Mo, my Polish, tried to join in today with it. Also, Mo pecked at my leg. I looked at my leg & I've a bruise and scratches that broke my skin so I'm chalking it up to the 'it's red, it's peckable" belief. Now, a full on nip...not going to get that consideration. Well, maybe if I had a fly or another bug on me.

I'm having the worst fly issue right now!!! Anyone else? I almost bought one of those bags that you're to hang which state they attract flies for a month. I think I'm going to find/order these little bugs, nemotodes I think, that leave humans alone, but eat flies.

Does any body have any experiences with there hens laying in crazy places I left the windows down on my truck this morning and went in the house for a couple hours . when I came back out I couldn't find my two brown hens And my rooster. I looked around my whole property couldn't find the anywhere..I finally went to get in my truck to drive around looking for them and there they were all three of them in the floor board of the truck along with 2 eggs

lol my scabbes cant heel becuase of those pesky chickens
rub some coconut oil on then tea tree oil over the coconut oil. both are awesome for healing, plus if the chicks are like my pups like don't like the scent of the tea tree oil. just a little of the tea tree oil..the pure oil, from the pharmacy area. i haven't tried it yet with the chicks. i even use the oils on my pups.
