Story Away!

try "hello. i am selling these friendly* chickens i can no longer keep. they will...." and you can take it from there.
*they are friendly right?
Yep...Freddie is at the pecking my feet or ankle stage right now. The others....hang about. Not really overly keen on being picked up, but once they are they'll go for some pets.

I hold or at least try to every time I go outside at least 1 if not a couple. I definitely handle them at night.

Mostly, they're more interested in looking for bugs than me anymore! A few of them have never been the cuddle personality from day 1 too...those I handle, but respect that not all creatures appreciate hugs & pets. Try to hold the line between letting them be chickens that live outside & my "I wanna hug you, hold you, & squeeze you & keep you forever & ever & ever" pets.

i see. they sound so cute!
They are. I just let my goofball dane out (with 1 of the stuffies in his mouth that he promptly drops on the patio. Maybe he's sharing? Either way I have to do a toy roundup & wash soon.) & I've chickens coming to the door wanting in, etc. Unfortunately, I can't sit & pet right now as I'm dressed for my appointment later/errands & will be going once my Dad shows up. I don't need to have to clean up chicken poop, redress, etc.

I once took a baby bunny with me to an appointment....wonder if I could get away with that with a chicken? The bun was in a bag, nice & comfy snug. Somehow I don't think a baby, juvenile, or adult chicken would cooperate.

aww!

and no, i don't think you could get away with that. the chicken probably wouldn't have much air in the bag, and they would poop in it. a shame though. i wish i could take my chicken for a walk in the park. i would have to get a chicken diaper though...(yes, such thing exists.)

It was a tote bag...open top, blanket, etc for poop catch. Never a closed bag...there are the dog carriers that are made to look like purses, etc. They're made with a washable liner.

I did hear about someone claiming a turkey as an emotional support animal & took it on a plane. Without it being in a carrier, etc. not sure if it had a diaper. They do have chicken harnesses that are the same as a small dog soft harness from what I can tell. Emotional Support Animals don't have public access rights. Only dogs & miniature horses are legally recognized as Service Animals. So, no legal basis except that an Emotional Support Animal can fly provided there's a doctor's note stating the person needs it. Could you imagine being on that flight????
