Unfortunately, if the pile is too big all the chicks won't make it. I'm not sure how to decide which to take rescript the most recent for certain. Could you compromise? Take most & isolate her so she can't get more? Be ready with the heat lamp, extra bedding, etc if needed. All you can do is present your side, try a compromise.

thank you both. i have opened the coop in the morning and let her stretch and drink and eat for a minute or so, then i watch her go back in, and i close it, so no others can get in to lay. she doesn't come out other then once every morning anyways.

CRAZY STORY


I WAS OUT SIDE A FEW DAYS AGO AND I SAW ONE OF MY ROOSTERS LAYING ON THE GROUND WITH HIS COMB PURPLE HE WAS STILL ALIVE SO I TURNED HIM UPSIDE DOWN AND STARTED SHAKING HIM AND HE COFTED OP A MOUSE

Is that crazy or what FYI he is fine
