Technically, it happens before the Mortal Instruments series. It takes place in London in 1878. Personally, I like them better. The characters are really awesome.

I'm not the only one who is in love with book characters! Although, Jace isn't my favorite book guy ever he did make me giggle when he said: "If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, all you had to do was ask."

LOL, my favorite line from him is from City of Fallen Angels when he says "Break a leg up there, and I'll be down here, hopefully breaking someone elses!"

William Herondale has some really good quotes too: "Remember when you tried to convince me to feed a poultry pie to the mallards in the park to see if you could breed a race of cannible ducks? They ate it too, bloodthirsty little beasts. Never trust a duck!"
