"Yeah, it is. I just hope some of the other's come. Y'know, safety in numbers or whatever." He looked at the sky thoughtfully. "That's what my mom told me one time," He now was looking at Ellie. "Eli wanted to come, I think." He kicked a pebble against the curb, which in turn bounced back and just missed Dewey.

Dewey looked around at the others, seeing if any were going to follow Ellie. He noticed Eli, itching to go, but loyal to his brother. He said loud enough for all of them to hear, even Ellie, who had already gained some distance from the place they now stood, "Well, I'm going. See ya, guys..." He turned and began following Ellie, now with her hood on.

(They aren't brothers, only friends)

Eli nodded once to him and turned after Blake who was already ducking through the hole, back into the alleyway they had entered the building through the night before. Blake tossed a hoodie to Eli and pulled one down over his own body, it was quite chilly in the early morning air. "How much money you got left over from last night?" Blake asked.

Eli stuck his hand in his pocket and drew out a handful of coins, leafing through them with his finger "$6.34" He replied.

"I got $4.89" Blake said with a slight nod "Thats enough for breakfast. Here, give me what you got and I'll grab us a few muffins and a coffee. Meet me in the subway." He looked up at the brightening sky "Looks like it'll be a nice day, lots of people out and about!"

Eli grinned and handed over the change and headed back out of the alley and onto the main street.

Blake paid for their breakfast with the money they had left over from the night before and headed to the subway. He met Eli inside and they each had a muffin and a coffee. "How's it going this morning?" Blake asked, swallowing of mouthful of the blueberry muffin and washing it down with a swig of hot coffee.

"Pretty slow." Eli admitted, showing the $3.25 he had collected. Blake grimaced "Well, I'll help right after we finish this. Once the noon rush hour starts we should be able to get some more."

"You know, there are a group of teens living around downdown." He said "Maybe we could stay with them?"

Blake's eyes darkened "Is there something wrong with our lifestyle?"

"No," Eli replied with a light shrug "It was just a suggestion."

"When there are numbers, people notice, when people notice, the cops get involved." Blake explained with exaggerated patience.

Eli seemed not to notice Blake's tone, or he simply ignored it, and took another sip of his coffee. He finished off the muffin and tossed the wrapper and empty cup in the trash bin.
