How did you come up with the names and how do you tell them apart?

My daughter and granddaughter helped, we have/had... Big Red, Chikera, Gladys, Snickers, Violet, Blossom, Oreo, Henrietta, Chick Norris, Daisy...I thought we had 2 or 3 Roos.... but to hear I may only have 2 hens is another story all together

I am having to rename a couple of my "hens" as they have declared themselves to be Roos..Thus Henrietta will now be called Henry, Daisy is going to be ???
