Hi there-
I am new to having chickens and I love my girls so much! Today I noticed “Dr. Peepers” making strained noises. Kind of like she lost her voice. High pitch and soft noises
She is normally pretty loud and sounds like a zombie or singer of a metal band! Haha
She looks healthy and eating/drinking/running around. When I get close her lungs aren’t wheezing/ no rales. She’s 6 months old and hasn’t started laying yet.
Anybody have this happen with chickens? Is it something concerning? Vet? I was working yesterday so not sure what her behavior was like. I am kind of a protective lover of these pets and worry about them. I’m assuming she strained her voice or something. Hopefully she’s not sneaking out going to concerts and straining her voice?
thanks so much!
