What else should I look for if its Mareks?

Well, Marek's is pretty thin on the symptoms list!! Limping then paralyzed then dead??

He's still looking and acting fine. He's still occasionally doing the goofy wing drag hop thing but he's not actually limping or having any other trouble getting around.

Here's to hoping its just adolescent hormones!

Ha! This thread reminds me ... we have an ancient hen that recently recovered fom a respiratory disease. After a week and a half alone in her "sick bed" she seemed sufficiently healthy for a stroll in the yard, so I coaxed her out into the sun. She promptly threw one wing up in the air and collapsed onto her opposite side in a heap. I freaked out! The other wing flew up into the air as she flopped onto the other side... Aaack! All of my nursing ! She seemed so well!...... oh. Just a VERY happy hen sunbathing in the delightful dirt after a couple weeks of isolation.

I felt a bit foolish.

Wateboe, same thing happened to me, I let my 3 first new chicks and a pullet out, and they did the same thing. I thought they passed out! Didn't know they just felt good.
The roo here , if he acts normal otherwise I doubt he's got Marek's. He would be sick. My roos did the chicken dance around hens, poles, me, fake geese, dogs, etc. It was real funny. Especially when Silkies do it

It's definitely the chicken dance!

When I get home from work he runs to me and dances all around me (He's better at it now, it still looks doofy, but less like a seizure! )

He runs to the door and dances at me when I come out. My kids love it - they say he wants to be my boyfriend!

He's just a hunka hunka chicken love!
