Strange behavior

My older dogs have had disc problems in their back and they would act up if they moved wrong. Does she jump up on the couch? I had to keep mine off of the couch because the disc pain would act up.

(I actually haven't been getting alerts for my own thread.... weird.) Anyway @Soon2BChixMom She is mostly an outside dog, but on really cold nights we let her in, and she just goes to her mat at the door. But I have a slight feeling she gets up on the couch after everyone goes to bed because I normally find black fur strewn across the leather in the mornings.

Yeah, the alerts are not working like they should. I frequently miss alerts and think a thread trailed off, but see it later when scrolling through posts.

It does sound like it could be arthritis. My older dog has arthritis and we've been managing it by keeping her weight down (she was overweight when we got her, we've shaved off 10 lbs), moderate exercise, joint supplements, and a firm orthopedic bed. Since you mentioned your dog is mostly outside, you might want to check that her bed is supportive enough for her to get up and down easily.
