Strange behaviour

Check out some of the pictures on this thread to give you an idea about what I mean by elevated wire crate.
The idea is to get the air moving all around the hen so that she cools off to the point where her body stops producing the hormones that induce brooding.

I have taken a look at pics and have a dog crate in the shed which i will sort out tomorrow, do i put them in it all day long?

24/7 for as long as it takes. They get let out once a day for about 30 minutes to stretch their legs. If they head for the nest, they go straight back in. Once they no longer try to get back to their nest, it's fine to leave them out.
