I agree that could be cause for some things and maybe blood/meat spots is one of them. I know the things you mention could cause an egg to drop early (lighter color or softee) or even crack and repair itself inside the hen leaving the shell a little misshaped.I feel that blood spots are caused by hens being frightened and running or flying into the wire or being chased by a predator.
Unruly children running, playing, or shouting may also trigger blood spots. As a rule sick hens lay few if any eggs.
Chickens may be kind of simple creatures... but they are so complex!
