Strange chick - tiny, not growing feathers

I believe you have a runt. The slower growth and smaller size are a giveaway.

Possibly dwarfism. I get that in my Call Ducks sometimes too...

Really weird, be sure to post updated pics! It just looks like a mutation to me, almost like naked neck but more pronounced. I'd be interested to see how his real feathers come in.

Yes it's definitely strange! My 8 year old thinks it's the cutest chicken ever and says it's her new pet lol. I'll try to remember to update with pictures as it grows!

I read on BYC it’s called “failure to thrive” and likely means this one will have health problems and/or be more susceptible to disease and predators?

It’s a very cute “ugly duckling” if you asked me!
