No… The shape, size, the messy plumage, dark bill, light wings, and white splotches are all present in chocolate-colored domestic ducks. You won’t find an exact match, there is too much variation in chocolate ducks / mixed ducks. Sun damage fades feathers, too..Also, I believe you have a Ruddy Shelduck from some image comparisons, its the closest I can find
Thank you, I don’t know if that’s possible. I’m located in Indiana, USA. The natural range of the Ruddy Shelduck is Europe / Asia. Also, I believe you have a Ruddy Shelduck from some image comparisons, its the closest I can find
They have mingled. My ducks live free on my pond. These appear healthy, but I cannot physically inspect them. They leave at night and arrive in the morning, probably to try and steal feed. They fly well, like wild ducks.if it already mingled and that duck seemed to have a disease then that would very tragic.. Lets hope that duck didn't bring anything in
Yes, just the two of them. I believe they’re both females. Not a lot of dumping goes on around here… I’m very remote and most of my neighbors have small flocks as well. I suppose dumping is a possibility, but I doubt it. They’d have had to drive all the way out here in the middle of the night to dump ducks while I’m asleepHow many are there? just two? if its more than 3 then it might be an infected flock somebody dumped on your land.
Well.. Congratulations on your new ducks!Thank you, I don’t know if that’s possible. I’m located in Indiana, USA. The natural range of the Ruddy Shelduck is Europe / Asia.

I thought that was what they were doing, but after dark I went out to check and they were still here hahaIf they fly well maybe a neighbor has them and they are going home at night and coming back in the morning.
