Watched one of the girls on the cam lay her egg today then went to collect it. After taking it to the kitchen to put in the fridge I noticed an abnormality ... there seemed to be a little lump on it. Well, upon closer inspection it wasn't a lump but more of a bubble. However, the shell itself is actually SMOOTH with no bubble to it, it just LOOKS like a bubble. Looking at it even more closely I noticed that around the "bubble" area were several "cracks" but again the egg shell itself is completely intact and smooth. It actually looks like the egg cracked somehow "in production" and then like "healed" over the area. Really strange.
I will try to get a pic but I don't know how well it will come out.
