I apologize for not quickly responding to my posts. In the past two weeks,my seven year separation with my wife has finally ended;six and a half years too late I might add. She is a Philadelphia lawyer,in every sense of that term,including location. I got the decree on a Tuesday evening;Wednesday morning,I'm filing my papers to get married...have to wait three days;Saturday afternoon before Thanksgiving,the ceremony. Had to go to the AMVETS post because I needed a 2nd witness-my best friend was the husband of the minister performing the ceremony. Then afterwards,everyone wanted to buy us "drinks,"but I only drink coffee,so I had to serve myself...HOW RUDE!!! Monday morning,truck breaks down,call neighbor for a lift to auto parts to buy a water pump and radiator hoses and whatever else. Have to buy neighbor some gas and a 12-pack and listen to his troubles all afternoon long...yes,yes,uhuh. Tuesday morning,truck running great! Oh,went to county courthouse to pick up marriage license and then,30+ miles to Eglin Air Force Base(AFB) to get my newlywed a spouse-dependent ID card and into the DEERS system and TRICARE PRIME. Wednesday morning,house and kitchen prep. Marilyn does house,I do kitchen,slaughter,hang and bleed goose turkey chicken,scald and pluck,gut wash and butcher for oven-roasting. I do the unpleasant stuff that the "city" relatives can't appreciate nor understand,before their arrival.

Carugoman: Why is the sky blue?
Electromagnetic Radiation(EMR) spectrum can be plotted on a linear graph to illustrate all the forms of energy(measurable) that exists in our universe. This graph,is by no means, complete,since as advances in theoretical science,mathematics to prove existence of new forms of energy,and technology to measure and utilize that form shall never cease to create.
One way to qualify measurement of EMR is to use Wave Form Theory(WFT). If you measure the crest of one wave to the crest on the next sequential wave.this is called the wave's length,or wavelength more precisely. Visible light portion of EMR spectrum is actually a very small portion of the total forms of energy spectra. If a straight beam of white light was bent at a right angle(90 degrees) using a prism, the light would be fractured into a rainbow of all colors. This is called refraction of visible white light. If one was to measure the wavelengths of each color that was refracted(using metric linear measurement,) one would find that the colors near the red color end of the rainbow have a longer wavelength than the colors toward the violet color end of the same rainbow. Energy that has longer wavelengths than red color start out as infra-red,micro-wave,radio waves and continue on to other forms of energy...inversely shorter than the visible violet color wavelengths are ultra-violet,X-ray,gamma-ray and so forth.

In the morning and at twilight the sky appears some shade of red because the atmosphere is at its maximum dimension and refracts the visible white light at its longest wavelengths. The human eye interprets these longer wavelengths in red hues. In the morning, once the sun appears to "rise"above the horizon, the sky starts to change from red to orange to yellow,green then blue,if there are no atmospheric disturbances overhead. This happens,when,as the sun reaches its zenith,the and the shortest measure of refracted visible light would be detected as a blue hue to the human eye.
And that's why the sky is blue.
