Strange egg, should I be concerned?

Good morning! I found this egg and am not sure if I should be concerned. The egg has a hard shell, but I’ve never seen something like this before. All of my chickens are about a year old except a 16 week Easter egger. I’m not sure who laid it. Any ideas what’s going on? My chickens are on layer feed (grandpas feeder) and always have access to oyster shells.

Looks like a calcium boost is needed..It could also just be a one off, if it’s been very hot out, or something stressful changed/happened.
Either way, I’d get some poultry or layer hen vitamins to put in your chickens’ waterer.

I recommend Durvet Vitamins and Electrolytes for Layer hens, or this alternative Durvet Vitamins for Poultry….

Durvet Livestock Vitamins & Electrolytes, 100 gm, 488999 https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-vitamins-electrolytes-100-gm

I’ve used both these vitamins before, when my chickens’ eggs are off, and it always fixed them for me!!

That's called a corrugated shell.
Can be a glitch or caused by disease or a funky shelling gland.

I doubt they need any calcium supplements.

Any other birds lying funky eggs?
I'd figure out who laid it, if it happens again, and go from there.

Currently no other chickens are laying weird eggs. The only hen I have that lays this color egg would be my speckled Sussex. It could be the Easter egger but at 16 weeks old I think she might be on the young side to lay. Everyone appears healthy, no noted respiratory issues, and normal poop. As a side note I had a chicken randomly die two weeks ago while I was on vacation. A friend was taking care of them while I was away so I didn’t get to check her out to see what may have caused it.
