The other day I got one egg that was 2/3rds larger than normal and extremely elongated. I figured it was a double yolker and put it in the egg basket.
This morning I got it out, washed it and broke it into a cup.
The yolk was not formed and it was more yellow than usual and there was blood in the mixture. I don't have a rooster so it wasn't fertilized.
I'm wondering what happened. I haven't seen any others like that before.
