Strange eggs

Usually young hens will lay weird eggs first (practice eggs). I've seen ones completely round, soft/nearly translucent shell, all white, weird shapes, etc. Eventually their eggs will normalize and become more standard looking. Also, the type of bedding they are on will affect their egg patterns (if they live on white sand/light bedding their eggs will have less spots and on dark dirt their eggs will be super speckled) to better blend in.

Does your quail sound like "piyeooooooooooow~ piyopiyopiyoew~" when she lays? Then it's an egg song! Mine would do that almost every time when she was young. Also, odd colored eggs are not really an issue generally but when the egg shells are mottled, grumpy, shrunk, thin, etc, it might be a problem(the sticky topic article named 'common egg quality problem' in egg laying column is very useful!)

Edit: found the link!https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/common-egg-quality-problems.65923/

Also, these are the odd colored eggs that my quail laid...it sometimes happens, color problem is usually no big deal.
