Read the warnings from craigs. The wording is wrong, or they hesitate to give information. Ex. "I buy car" or paying with "cashiers check" in one case they pay more than the asked for amount and ask you to forward the excess money to another person, usually in a foreign country. After you've deposited the "bad" check. FYI, CANADA IS A FOREIGN COUNTRY.
In the chicken e-mail I figure no one uses "species" when refering to chickens. That and they don't usually respond with "I have what your looking for" whats' your phone number". Understand that they can hack your cell and make over seas calls at your expense. And you will have to pay. It's not fair but it's reality. Try to remember the law doesn't care "what you think". Know the law.

I also had a response to a CL add for one of our animals a while back with almost that SAME wording. I replied that I didnt care for the reference to my livestock as "items" and that I was declining his offer to buy. I didnt read this whole post, but what email address did his response come from?
