Strange little birb

Yes, I meant to write birb. It's what my daughter calls cute birds. (She also calls snakes Danger Noodles) Anyway she had been lamenting the fact that all the chickens she picks out end up being boys. (Which we can't have in the city limits, shhh). We figure this one has to be a roo due to the comb and wattles. He is an 11-12 weeks old bantam. But what breed is he ?

He looks like a bit of a cross—most of him says White Delaware, but his tail feathers say something else.

Do they come in bantam size? She named it Hedwig in the hopes it was a girl. This is the fourth one that has ended up a boy. All different breeds. All from TSC/Hoover Hatchery.

Whatever he is, he looks like he has a "rumpless" gene. Meaning, no butt! That could be a clue. However, I am unsure what breeds possibly carry the rumpless gene.

But that beautiful rooster in your picture had a tail and white legs.???

It does ? LOL Sorry. Yours may get a tail yet. Its young. I thought first it was a Ca. white but no more guesses here. He is cute and looks friendly.

Agreed. It isn't an Austra. It's most likely a mix, is my guess.
