These are all eggs from my babies that just started laying this week. The top is 2 normal little eggs and the bottom IS NOT A BROKEN yolk. It came right from the shell like this. It is large and misshaped and seems to has white swirls in the yolk. There is only a small amount of the normal clear whites on the outside of the yolk. What is this?
Since they are new layers, I'm assuming her body was just working out the kinks.
Now if she keeps laying eggs with his kind of yolk all the time, it could be something else.
I was messing with it and a small hole broke open. There was a separate yolk sac with a white string attached to that on one end and a clump on the other. I am wondering if it was fertilize and it has been hotter than hell here. I do have a very active rooster.
