I once read an obit that stated "jack of all trades, master of none"--that will stay with me the rest of my life.

I liked it. I suspect the word "fart" was a family joke of sorts. It just seems likely from the way the obit is written.

She was obviously loved.

I don't quite agree--she sounds like she was extremely picky, like blood relatives were all that matter ("callous inlaw")--something along the lines of the mil's that are often complained about here. I do not think this was a person I would have likely found enjoyable to be around for very many people.

I think it's a great obit. Maybe she didn't like her in-laws & made no bones about it; maybe it was also an inside joke--who cares if the rest of us 'get it'?
I want my obit to be something along those lines--nothing stuffy for me.
And I want to be buried in my favorite pair of footie pajamas--whatever they are at the time...
